    Description

We would be happy to consider your best offer for this item, so please don't be shy. No reasonable offer will be refused.
Upright 3/4 size plywood bass with Anton Schroetter label, marked Made in Germany. Body is in very good condition. Recently fitted with new adjustable bridge, soundpost, carbon fiber endpin, and fingerboard has been recently planed. Lightweight Kaces gig bag and extra rubber endpin tips included. This instrument is of uncertain age, but was probably made between 1950 and 1960. It has a good clear and resonant tone. It is strung with D’Addario Helicore Orchestra strings (medium), with much life left in them. Suitable for both arco and pizzicato playing, this bass would be a very good student instrument, second instrument or travel bass. It’s in very good condition and has been professionally set up. The current owner is a professional player and has taken good care of it. There is a bit of old carving on the bottom, next to the endpin, “J.M. 59,” from an earlier owner. The finish is also very good and it’s very attractive. There are some normal scratches and wear as shown in the pictures.
It’s available for pickup in eastern Ohio, with advance arrangements. I cannot ship this item. If you want to arrange shipping, including picking it up, that can be done at your option. I can deliver it to adjoining areas, within reason.
