Original vintage soapstone carving from German Canadian artist Dietrich Muchelstein in the manner of Inuit carving.
The bottom is signed "DIMU".
The small turtle is about 3 1/2" long, 1 3/4" wide and 3/4" tall.
The tip of the tail is a little rough so may be chipped. And the bottom edges also may have some really tiny chips. It's difficult to tell if its chipped or originally carved that way.
