Mandolin, Hybrid, 8 Strings/Tahitian Ukelele?

Mandolin, Hybrid, 8 Strings. I'll start by saying i put "Mandolin" on this listing, so ebay would let me post, and it was probably intended to be just that, but im thinking someone lost interest, because instead of a tailpiece, someone used a few staples to hold the green strings in place. I got this a while ago, my plan was to take it to a Luthier/Mad Genius i know, and say "turn this into something amazing!" But i just have too much going on, so im selling it. Please note, this thing has a beautiful neck, body, and headstock, made from A SINGLE KOA BRANCH! No breaks, super stout frets, just a brilliant project for someone who can convert it. Its been 'clear coated,' and while not the best job, its not thick, and can be sanded down with ease. See photos for examples, and give this super cool instrument a new life, a new home!
