Description

Up for auction is a Mandolin in need of great repair but once fixed it will be a very nice instrument. Bridge is gone, so no strings. Some wood repair needed and brass is rusty on the end.
Maybe this is simply glueing on the bridge?? The back is stunning. Japanese Suzuki #45 six-string bowl-back mandolin, with mahogany, spruce, and maple veneers and inlays the interior with a paper label reading "1966 Susuki Violin No 45, Kiso Fukushima," Some other label was pasted over this original label. So perhaps the Mandolin was made for that company which is unnamed but has a cool Lion Logo. Since this is the 45 piece made, I think it could have some value once fixed up. Great for an instrument repairer.
